Food Photography
My Mum's friend engaged me in taking food photography for her business. So i took this opportunity as my Photography skill. I'm using Canon 7D camera to take a very good quality photos. it was a great event as it is a fulfilling experience. You can find her cooking on this Sab's Deli . I had a few difficulties on determining the shutter speed and also level of aperture. I also had some difficulties in playing with the lighting as it was an indoor shoot and there was less natural light unlike outdoor shooting. As for my lighting i used speedlite 580EX II.
Rendering Textures & Perspective Drawings
Rendering textures kind of art are tough for me to draw and it is hard to get the shades right according to the objects and the textures on the above. well it took a few practices to hands on my skills and techniques. Mr Han gave us the A3 worksheets with the example of the pictures and we just had to draw following the pictures and explore on how to draw the different textures. Overall, i gave myself a pad on my shoulder for putting all of my efforts to do and soon i will improve my skills and techniques.
In addition, the following 5 pictures on the above is my art works on Perspective drawings. I am exploring the vanishing points of 1 point of view and 2 point of view. The first four pictures i drew it on PVC materials of papers by using permanent black marker and framed it. the last picture i choose out of four perspective line drawings and paint it on A3 size paper as my final piece of art work.
Mark Arts
Making a mark arts is fun and yet challenging. Well learning a new basics of art in school makes my interest go deeper in Fine Arts. The first picture on the left hand corner, is my very first attempt on exploring the black painting to create marks and the right hand corner of the picture i used black crayons to create a mark effects as well.
Following pictures, I've made my research that marks can be any forms. So, i used different blue tones of crayons to create mark arts on showing the emotion of 'Sorrow' while the the right hand corner of the picture, i used a coloured marker to form a 3D effect movement from 'inside to outside'.
The 5th picture on the left as u can see, i used a different media to create a mark arts, which is 2b, 3B and 4B pencils. It is to show the 'Rhythm' of my art work. Next, I've created a ' Contrast ' of my mark art piece of work by using black vs colours.
Now here is the fun part, for the 7th and 8th pictures of my art work, i used tapes, bottle caps, recycled plastic cups, toothpicks, rubber bands, clips and name cards to create Mark Arts. these art pieces of mine shows the happiness and the playfulness marks.
Finally here comes my final piece of A3 size art work on Mark Arts. I really love and enjoy doing this hehe.

Line Arts
Line Arts may sound easy to some of us, but as for me it is quite tough to make my art work look unique and different from others. Well as a first year student in Nafa, I am enjoying myself doing this Line Arts in drawing fundamentals. First two pictures on the above is the expression of 'Exploring'.
The 3rd pictures is about 'Fear'. As you can see that i drew a Jagger lines that depicts the Lightning. The 4th picture is showing the emotion of' Anger'.
Following the pictures on the above, the 5th picture shows the 'Calmness in my Soul'. Next picture i tried to explore the lines by using different colours of markers to create the emotion of 'Happiness'.
The 7th picture is interesting as u can see the Acrylic colours that i used is to show the emotion of 'Playfulness of me'. as i"m painting it, I actually imagined and pretend myself as a kid again painting happily without knowing whats the right technique to paint a good art piece of work. 8th picture of my art work, shows the emotion of 'Confusion'.
Last but not least, here is my final piece of Line Arts, the mixture of emotions play along with one another.
Money pill...
It was my first time doing a Juxtaposition Art, Its an art that the fact of two things being seen or placed close together with contrasting effect. We had to brainstorm and create plus at the same time thinking out of the box. As you can see that the pictures are my development of my recent juxtaposition art piece.
Step 1 : Cut the cylinder shape of Styrofoam into a shape of a pill capsule. Use a sandpaper to smooth the rough surface and make it even.
Step 2 : Make a hole in the Styrofoam by using penknife and Styrofoam punch-hole cutter.
Step 3: After you have done making a hole in your 'pill capsule', use a sandpaper to smooth the rough surface.
Step 4: Cut the "pill capsule" into a right proportion or sizes that you want to make it look like a real pill capsule, then test by poking method onto a recycled Styrofoam before moving onto the real piece.
Step 5: I paint the capsule by using acrylic paintings as it dry very fast and gives out a solid colour.
Step 6: Once it is dry, I continue the process by poking a large amount of toothpicks onto my main art piece.
Step 7: I painted the based with classic Rose colour and started to make a blood effects coming out from the re capsule and money splattered out from the white capsule.
FINALLY! here comes my final layout and i'm done. yeay!!
My classmates and i had to showcase our juxtaposition art piece and everyone got excited by looking at each others work. i am satisfied with my progress and hopefully i have an excellent grades for 3D Fundamental..
